Dr. Christa Marczuk joined the practice in 2017 where she is currently completing her fourth year of training as part of the South West Specialist Training Programme in General Practice. She was born and raised in Montreal, Canada. She graduated from the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland in 2008. She completed her internship while working in the Mallow Primary Healthcare Centre, Cork University Hospital and University Hospital Kerry.
She subsequently worked in hospital medicine in Ennis General Hospital, St John’s Hospital, Limerick, Limerick Regional Hospital, Milford Care Centre (Specialist Palliative Care Unit in Limerick), Bantry General Hospital and University Hospital Kerry.
She joined the South West GP Training Programme in 2013 where she gained experience in general medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics/gynaecology, emergency medicine and psychiatry in University Hospital Kerry. She also completed her Membership Examinations, has a Certificate in Essential Palliative Care, completed the Reproductive and Sexual Health Contraception Course and currently attending a course on Management in Practice.
Dr Christa speaks fluent English, Polish and French. In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors with her partner and children, hill walking, feeding the calves on the family farm and visiting her family and friends in Canada. If weather permitted - she would love to cross country ski.
