Mr Gerard Hill (Dental Surgeon) and his assistant Nurse Joan Griffin have run their dental practice from The Ashe Street Clinic since 1995. The dental surgery is fully equipped with state of the art dental and X-Ray equipment. They deal with all dental problems including routine check-ups, fillings, extractions, denture fittings, crowns and bridges in both adults and children. Fees are tax allowable and some are reimbursable from major health insurance companies, work schemes or from PRSI. 

Dentistry can be subdivided into the following categories, Periodontics/Preventive, Restorative, Surgical, Orthodontic and Endodontic.

Periodontics:

This involves the cleaning of teeth from scale and polish to extensive treatment for advanced gum disease. This is the foundation for all successful dentistry. Meticulous oral hygiene is the secret to keeping our teeth, this involves brushing and flossing twice daily.

Preventive:

These treatments involve measures such as Fissure Sealants and Fluoride application in decay susceptible patients.

Restorative:

This is the broadest sector of our profession. Fillings, amalgam or tooth coloured, crowns, bridges, veneers and implants. Advances in technology, particularly implant therapies, have enabled us to provide treatments with very successful outcomes.

Surgical:

This involves extraction of teeth.

Othodontic:

This involves the movement of teeth into more favourable positions by using wires or plastic retainers (Invisalign)

Endodontic:

This is the removal of the nerve and its associated tissue from the tooth and the filling of this space.

Tooth Whitening:

This is becoming increasingly popular with patients of all ages. It is a simple and very satisfying procedure.

All of these treatments are available at our Practice. Should specialist expertise be required, we work closely with Specialists in Implantology, Endodontics and Orthodontics. These clnicians greatly enhance the service we provide.

At The Ashe Street Clinic we provide treatment in a caring, courteous and relaxed environment. We cater for private patients, PRSI (yearly examination covered).
