Kerry Skin Clinic Dr David Buckley has been providing a community-based dermatology service in The Ashe Street Clinic Tralee for the past 18 years. He has recently established a new clinic called “Kerry Skin Clinic” in Tralee. Together with three specially trained dermatology nurses, Dr Buckley will continue to provide medical and surgical dermatology, but in addition he has expanded the range of services and now provides all the latest innovations in cosmetic dermatology and skin laser treatments. Having completed two years of training in aesthetic medicine, Dr Buckley has recently become a full member of the British Association of Cosmetic Doctors.

Kerry Skin Clinic is a state-of-the-art facility, providing the most advanced care in medical, surgical, laser and cosmetic dermatology. Dr Buckley and his team provide the latest diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, including computer-aided diagnosis and lasers that deliver safe, fast and efficient care to their patients with all skin, hair and nail problems. They provide all the latest innovations to enhance blemished, damaged or ageing skin to restore a natural youthful appearance. Treatment techniques used include: Pulse Dye Lasers, Intense Pulse Light (IPL), Medical Microdermabrasion, Cryosurgery, Radiosurgery, Botox, Fillers and Chemical Peels.

Kerry Skin Clinic offers the most advanced treatments for many cosmetic problems, including wrinkles and fine lines, excessive hair growth on the face or body, red veins on the face or legs, acne, rosacea, brown spots, scars and excessive sweating.
Dr Buckley continues to offer a wide range of medical dermatological services, including the treatment of acne, eczema and psoriasis in his new clinic. He prescribes Roaccutane under careful medical supervision for patients with severe acne not responding to standard therapies. He also treats a wide range of scalp, hair and nail problems. In addition, he runs a special Psoriasis Clinic and performs a wide range of allergy tests.

Kerry Skin Clinic also provided surgical dermatology, for the removal of cysts and benign skin tumours. Dr Buckley is internationally recognised for his expertise in cryosurgery and offers the latest techniques for treating warts, verrucae, keloids and many other benign and malignant skin tumours using cryosurgery.
Dr Buckley has a special interest in skin cancer and in addition to surgical excision using radiosurgery and cryosurgery, he now offers the latest techniques for treating skin cancer, including topical immune response modifiers, such as imiquimod (Aldara). Dr Buckley was one of the first doctors to introduce photodynamic therapy (PDT) for skin cancer in Ireland.

Kerry Skin Clinic can assess suspicious moles with skin microscopy (dermatoscopy) and digital photography. Highly suspicious moles can be removed with wide safety margins using radiosurgery.
Dr Buckley accepts referrals from colleagues for patients with medical, surgical or cosmetic dermatological problems. Patients who are referred for cosmetic procedures can get a free initial consultation, where the various treatment options can be explored and explained.
